Welcome to the GDASH home page

GDASH is a package designed to enable users with a DASH site license to deploy DASH on a Grid MP system.  It consists of a client program for submitting and retrieving DASH jobs to the grid, plus an installer to help you package up DASH and install it on your Grid MP server(s).  In addition to the GDASH package, which you can download using the link below, you will require:

DASH DASH is a leading 'crystal structure determination from powder diffraction' package, developed jointly by STFC and CCDC.  Its design allows its structure solution stage to be distributed across multiple CPU cores and multiple PCs.  You will need a site license for DASH in order to run it successfully on a Grid MP setup.

Grid MP Grid MP, developed by UnivaUD, is a widely used, convenient and powerful way of distributing calculations across a range of existing compute resources

  Who's behind it?
GDASH has been developed in collaboration with CCDC and is written by Tom Griffin of the Data Analysis Group, ISIS Facility, STFC Rutherford Appleton Laboratory, Oxfordshire OX11 0QX

Why use it?
Deploying DASH on a Grid MP system allows you to vastly speed-up the rate at which you can solve structures.

How much does it cost?
Nothing. Simply reference and acknowledge use of GDASH1 and DASH2 as appropriate.
